Our Heroes
To Inspire is to be Inspired
After watching the “Today” Show, Rod was inspired by Tom Landis, the CEO and Owner of Howdy Homemade Ice Cream. Tom's passionate speech about bringing a voice to the voiceless and helping bring a better quality of life to those who aren't always given the same chances stirred Rod. So much so that Rod wrote Tom the same day. Four weeks later, even before he had tasted the ice cream, Rod became a franchisee of Howdy Homemade Ice Cream with plans to open a shop in Katy, Texas.
Rod was ready to join the mission. He knew his purpose was bigger than ice cream. Rod is committed to giving back and providing job opportunities for people who have been marginalized because of society’s misunderstanding of their abilities. It goes without saying, bringing delicious ice cream to his neighbors and friends is an excellent bonus.
We invite you to enjoy some amazing ice cream and meet our amazing staff (we call them “heroes”). We appreciate your support and know that you’ll be inspired too after visiting our local Howdy Homemade Ice Cream shop.
